Went to a Party
Nov. 29th, 2014 04:12 pmI went to a friend's party last night and it was a lot of fun! Since everyone has kind of moved on with their life and I'm still spending a year with my parents, I don't really get out too much (which is good for developing my creative skills, but still). My friend Andrew made a Murder Mystery that I did the art for and it was A LOT OF FUN.
One of the best parts of the party for me was that it featured my main core group of real-life friends that I see around here, but also included two newcomers. I tend to feel afraid of new people if the party consists mostly of newcomers and this usually ends up with me cloistering with the 2-3 people I already know and not branching out. But when the dynamic is flipped like this, new people are some of my absolute most favorite things.
I really love making new friends, but it's just so often scary to do. Anyway, I definitely made a new friend last night and that's great!
